A shocking incident unfolded in east Delhi when a 28-year-old property dealer tragically died while filming a social media reel. Pawan Kumar, the deceased, was handling a licensed pistol for the first time owned by his cousin, Himanshu, and ended up accidentally shooting himself in the chest.
The tragic event was captured on video, which subsequently went viral. The footage shows Kumar inserting a magazine into the pistol before unexpectedly pulling the trigger while the camera continued recording. His cousin, Himanshu, was filming the stunt and appeared unaware of the fatal mistake until it occurred.
The incident alerted police when a medico-legal case was reported from the Dharamshila Hospital. Authorities have registered a case under Section 105 of the BNS and relevant provisions of the Arms Act. Investigations are ongoing as police have seized the weapon, cartridge, and filming device.
