A tragic fire erupted in a residential building in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, early Wednesday morning, leading to the death of at least seven individuals. The inferno, reportedly caused by explosions of multiple gas cylinders, started around 4 am inside a three-storey house in the Brijeshwari Annexe locality, according to police sources.

Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar Singh stated that the fire likely began with an electric vehicle charging point located outside the house, spreading rapidly due to the presence of more than ten gas cylinders, some of which detonated. Firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control, rescuing three residents from the upper floors.

As part of the ongoing investigation, officials are examining the cause and spread of the fire, with initial assessments indicating a connection to the electric vehicle charging explosion. Indore District Magistrate Shivam Verma confirmed that rescue operations continue as teams ensure no further casualties occur.
