The event was held at the Vice-President Enclave in New Delhi on March 18, 2026, honoring a cohort that includes renowned figures such as former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and RPI leader Ramdas Athawale, among others.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address, lauded the retiring members for their profound service to the nation. He emphasized that their experience is a national asset and encouraged newer members to learn from stalwarts like Deve Gowda and Sharad Pawar. Modi highlighted the dynamic nature of political life, noting that even as they leave the House, new avenues continue to unfold.
