Eid al-Fitr Celebrations: Unity in Prayers Across India

Eid al-Fitr sees prayers for global peace as leaders from Karnataka to Kerala extend greetings. While fasting marks Ramadan, the festival's conclusion is filled with gratitude and charity. On March 21, the Indian Muslim community unites in celebrations and prayers for peace worldwide.

Across India on Friday, Eid al-Fitr was marked with prayers for peace and unity. In Mangaluru, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Kadar Fareed joined Eid prayers at Idgah Masjid, extending his best wishes to all during the festival.

Meanwhile, in Kerala, IUML MP PV Abdul Wahab participated in Eid prayers, emphasizing the community's calls for peace in West Asia and beyond. Ramadan, observed as a sacred period, commemorates the descent of the Quran and involves fasting from dawn until dusk.

Muslims across India followed rigorous schedules of prayer and fasting, culminating in the festive spirit of Eid al-Fitr. Celebrations involve family gatherings, gift exchanges, and charity. Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali announced the festival's observance on March 21 in Lucknow.
