Across India on Friday, Eid al-Fitr was marked with prayers for peace and unity. In Mangaluru, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Kadar Fareed joined Eid prayers at Idgah Masjid, extending his best wishes to all during the festival.

Meanwhile, in Kerala, IUML MP PV Abdul Wahab participated in Eid prayers, emphasizing the community's calls for peace in West Asia and beyond. Ramadan, observed as a sacred period, commemorates the descent of the Quran and involves fasting from dawn until dusk.

Muslims across India followed rigorous schedules of prayer and fasting, culminating in the festive spirit of Eid al-Fitr. Celebrations involve family gatherings, gift exchanges, and charity. Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali announced the festival's observance on March 21 in Lucknow.
