Delhi's Multi-Level Strategy to Tackle LPG Supply Pressure
The Delhi government has unveiled a multi-tier strategy to address LPG supply pressures, emphasizing policy coordination, expansion of piped natural gas, and enhanced enforcement to curb illegal activities. Efforts are underway to stabilize the supply chain and encourage PNG adoption, with specific targets and anti-hoarding measures in place.

The Delhi government's multi-tier approach, including policy intervention and enhanced enforcement, aims to manage the growing pressure on LPG supply, announcing these measures at a recent press conference.
Additional Commissioner Arun Kumar Jha highlighted the importance of registering LPG connections correctly to prevent misuse and revealed plans for expanding piped natural gas access to encourage a shift from LPG.
With rising demand and enforcement activities intensifying, the government is also offering relief to migrant laborers, strengthening monitoring efforts, and targeting an increase in PNG connections.
