The Patiala House Court in New Delhi on Thursday formally framed charges against Sandeep alias Kala Jatheri, Lawrence Bishnoi, and other members of an alleged interstate crime syndicate.

Accusations involve serious offenses under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), including extortion and illegal arms trafficking. While some were present in court, others appeared via video conferencing or were issued production warrants.

The case, spearheaded by Advocate Akhand Pratap representing the Delhi Police, is built on an investigation revealing the syndicate's far-reaching illegal operations across multiple states and international links. The next court hearing is set for May 15, signaling the commencement of the trial phase.
