Ukraine's Tactical Advancements: Medium-Range Drone Strikes Target Russian Forces
Ukrainian forces are intensifying medium-range drone strikes on Russian troops, marking a significant tactical advancement in the ongoing war. President Zelenskiy highlights increased strikes targeting logistics and military-industrial sites to weaken Russian capabilities, as Ukraine aims to reduce reliance on foreign aid and develop its defense sector.
Ukrainian troops are ramping up medium-range drone strikes against Russian forces, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced, showcasing Kyiv's evolving military prowess amid the ongoing conflict. The increased attacks target logistics hubs and air-defense systems as Ukraine faces renewed Russian offensives on the eastern front.
Zelenskiy noted that drone strikes at longer distances have doubled since March and quadrupled since February. He announced on X that this strategy marks a priority for Ukraine. These medium-range strikes aim to disrupt supply lines and diminish Russian military effectiveness.
The Ukrainian Defence Ministry reported over 160 middle strikes in April alone, targeting logistics, ammunition depots, and command posts to weaken Russia. Additionally, Ukraine is intensifying attacks on energy and military-industrial sites within Russia, using homegrown cruise missiles to pave the way for long-range operations.
