Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took an unexpected tour of a wheat procurement facility in Ujjain district on Tuesday. Visiting the Adani Agro Silo at Nagjhiri, Yadav advocated for expanding storage to protect wheat stocks from adverse weather conditions.
The inspection aligns with recent government efforts to streamline procurement processes. Despite assurances of smooth operations, Yadav said the visit was a gesture to connect with farmers. Payment efficiency has improved, with faster disbursements within a week, he noted.
Yadav, invoking the government's initiative to mark the year as 'Farmer Welfare Year,' expressed ongoing commitment to farmer support. He highlighted the procurement of 41 lakh tons of wheat by Monday, inviting farmer participation and offering district-level support for any issues.
