In a groundbreaking political shift, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has initiated the government formation process in Keralam. This follows their resounding success in the recent assembly elections, where the UDF ousted the ten-year rule of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), capturing 63 seats in the 140-member assembly.
Party sources revealed that senior Congress leaders Ajay Maken and Mukul Wasnik have been appointed as observers to gauge the preferences of newly-elected MLAs for the Chief Ministerial candidate. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi took to social media to commend the UDF's leaders and supporters for their strategic and hard-fought campaign, signaling his intent to visit the state soon.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also expressed her deep appreciation for the people's trust, particularly in Wayanad, where the UDF claimed all seven assembly seats. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to deliver on promises with honesty and humility while applauding party workers for their dedication to the victorious campaign.
