Haryana's Strategic Push for Enhanced Grain and Water Management

Efforts are intensifying in Haryana to safeguard agricultural produce, amidst state directions to enhance grain storage capacities. In a strategic move, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized the importance of adequate warehousing infrastructure during a review meeting on Wednesday, instructing departments to devise robust plans for effective grain management.

A major directive involves the construction of a silo between Shahabad and Ambala, aiming for optimal connectivity by integrating the structure between a railway line and road. The Chief Minister stressed the significance of this initiative, especially as the Middle East experiences heightened demand for agricultural exports. The state intends to use Hisar Airport as a pivotal point for fruit and vegetable exports.

Water supply improvements in Palwal and Nuh are also on the agenda, with plans for Ranney wells and boosting stations, set at a cost of Rs. 765 crore. Looking forward, the administration anticipates growing water needs due to potential industrial expansion. On a proactive note, a statewide plantation campaign, 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', seeks to bolster Haryana's environmental resilience.
