Southeast Asian leaders will exchange views during a closed-door retreat on Friday on the ASEAN bloc's capacity to mitigate oil supply disruptions and price volatility, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr said.
The Middle East crisis is a stark reminder of how vulnerable economies are to sudden shifts in the international order, Marcos said, stressing the importance of ensuring regional energy security, resilience, and food security in the face of external shocks.
