A parliamentary delegation from the Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs inspected the Clock Tower at Srinagar's Lal Chowk on a three-day visit. The visit aims to evaluate the developmental projects implemented through central funding.

Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Dattaram Waikar highlighted the presence of numerous urban development MPs looking into project completions. BJP MP Alok Sharma affirmed the Modi government's commitment to national development, noting that Srinagar holds a significant place in India's progress narrative, with more than 18 MPs contributing insights.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy addressed Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to Telangana and discussed regional budget concerns, while TDP MP Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy noted an increase in tourists and exhibitors, crediting initiatives that position Kashmir on the global stage as a peaceful destination.
