Despite the challenges posed by unseasonal rainfall and hailstorms, Chouhan expressed confidence in a strong harvest, reporting that wheat procurement is well underway in key growing regions.

Discrepancies in projections arise between the government's estimate of 120 million tonnes and the Roller Flour Millers' Federation of India's lower forecast of 110 million tonnes, reflecting the ongoing dialogue about the impact of recent weather disruptions on the final yield.
