Renewed Conflict: Russia's Ceasefire Breach in Ukraine

Russian forces attacked Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region after a U.S.-mediated ceasefire expired, killing at least six people. Despite a fleeting respite, the situation escalated as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy asserted that Ukraine's military struck Russian gas facilities in Orenburg, while condemning the drone attacks in his hometown, Kryvyi Rih, that resulted in civilian casualties, including a severed limb of a nine-month-old.

The truce, initially linked to the anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany, failed to sustain peace, and Zelenskiy emphasized the need for continued international pressure on Moscow.
