Pathak stated that this action is in the national interest and urged the immediate reduction of vehicles in his convoy by 50% as per the prime minister's guidelines. The initiative aims to promote work-from-home, discourage gold purchases, and reduce petrol and diesel consumption by encouraging the use of public transport.

Pathak also emphasized sustainable practices like carpooling, adopting battery-operated vehicles, and using rooftop solar panels, bringing attention to environmental sustainability and economic resilience. Citizens are urged to prefer indigenous products and limit foreign travel to bolster the economy by conserving foreign exchange on oil imports.
