Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has stepped up efforts to enhance the Ease of Doing Business and improve living conditions in the national capital, a strategic goal aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. In a recent meeting with senior officials, Sandhu reviewed the ongoing deregulation exercise aimed at improving administrative efficiency.

The city has advanced from 'Achievers' to 'Exemplar' status in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2025 rankings among Union Territories. Sandhu emphasized the importance of transitioning to a 'Permitted Until Prohibited' framework by dismantling regulatory hurdles and streamlining governance processes.

On a parallel note, the lieutenant governor has issued directives to waive morning entry fees at select DDA parks, thus promoting the Fit India Movement. This measure, which applies to numerous parks and heritage sites, aims to encourage outdoor activities and foster a culture of fitness across Delhi.
