Rohtak, Bathinda hottest as intense heat sweeps Punjab & Haryana
Punjab and Haryana experienced intense heat on Saturday, with Rohtak in Haryana reaching a maximum temperature of 44.1 degrees Celsius.

Intense hot weather conditions swept Punjab and Haryana on Saturday, with Bathinda and Rohtak turning out to be the hottest places.
Rohtak in Haryana registered the maximum temperature at 44.1 degrees Celsius, while Punjab's Bathinda sizzled at 43.8 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT department.
Among other places in Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 40.5 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana's maximum was 41.2 degrees Celsius.
Patiala, Pathankot and Fazilka registered their respective maximum temperatures at 42, 39.8 and 40.8 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 40.6 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, Ambala's maximum was 41.2 degrees Celsius, while Hisar's maximum settled at 42.4 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul and Bhiwani had an identical temperature of 40 degrees Celsius each.
The maximum temperatures of Sirsa, Gurugram and Jhajjar were registered at 44, 40.1 and 40.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
