Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday for a critical meeting with the Congress high command. The leadership discussion has fueled speculations about potential changes in the state's administration.
The high-level gathering at Indira Bhawan will involve Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. As they left his residence, Deputy CM Shivakumar remarked, "Going to the first Karnataka Bhawan and will take part in the meeting," without providing further details.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge refrained from responding to inquiries on leadership changes or the agenda of the meeting. Meanwhile, Minister MB Patil mentioned that only Rahul Gandhi has the details, adding that topics could range from Rajya Sabha elections to cabinet reshuffles.
