Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met with the family of NEET aspirant Pradeep Meghwal on Wednesday, following the student's tragic suicide. Meghwal's death came in the aftermath of a question bank leak for the UG 2026 examination. Gandhi emphasized the accountability of the Modi-Shah administration in this matter.
Expressing sorrow on social media, Gandhi noted the pressures faced by exam aspirants and termed Meghwal's passing as the outcome of a flawed system. He claimed that the examination was allegedly managed by unlawful elements, blaming the current government for the situation.
Gandhi also interacted with other NEET aspirants who voiced their distrust in the educational system. He asserted the youth's role in future reform. Meanwhile, arrests were made related to the paper leak, and the accused were remanded in custody by Rouse Avenue court for further investigation.
