On Thursday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah extended heartfelt Eid al-Adha greetings to the people, emphasizing the festival's significance in fostering peace, harmony, and brotherhood. In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister highlighted the core values of sacrifice and dedication that the festival of Bakrid embodies for the Muslim community.

President Droupadi Murmu, in her message, described Eid al-Adha as a celebration of self-surrender, sacrifice, and devotion. She encouraged fellow citizens to view the occasion as an inspiration to serve humanity, particularly helping underprivileged segments of society. President Murmu's social media post urged people to promote love and harmony across communities.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his best wishes on Eid al-Adha, expressing hopes for happiness and good health to prevail in society. He envisioned this festival as an opportunity to deepen the bonds of brotherhood, stating, 'Praying for everyone's success and good health,' in his social media greeting. The festival commemorates the obedience and sacrifice of Prophet Abraham, marking its importance among Islamic celebrations.
