After a short delay caused by extreme heat conditions, schools across Tamil Nadu reopened on Thursday following the summer vacation. Originally set to resume on June 1, the new academic year began with Education Minister Rajmohan greeting students and urging them to embrace their studies sincerely.
The Minister distributed educational materials and inaugurated 21 digital smart boards in Chennai. Emphasizing the transformative impact of education, Rajmohan recounted a personal story involving his father, underlining the importance of learning, family, and inspiration in shaping one's future.
Rajmohan underscored the state government's steadfast dedication to the twin-language policy of teaching only Tamil and English, in contrast to the Central government's three-language policy. Criticizing the federal government's reluctance to release funds, he hinted at possible further discussions in Delhi.
