A high-ranking official in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh has been detained following serious allegations of sexual exploitation. The accusations, leveled by a woman claiming he promised marriage to establish a physical relationship, prompted swift action from local authorities.

According to Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj Meena, the woman lodged her complaint at the Civil Lines Police Station, prompting an investigation. After verifying the claims, charges were filed under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

In a counterstatement, Deputy Collector Arvind Mahour refuted the accusations, suggesting they are attempts at blackmail due to his official standing. He claims their interactions were instigated by the woman, who he alleges demanded money to avoid scandal. Mahour has past suspensions for misconduct, raising further public scrutiny.
