In a determined effort to combat drug trafficking, Anantnag Police executed major raids on hotels in Pahalgam. Concurrently, security forces launched Operation Sheruwali in Rajouri's forest areas to subdue suspected terrorists, reflecting heightened vigilance against drug and terror-related activities across Jammu and Kashmir.

In a significant move against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police conducted extensive raids on various hotels in Pahalgam's Mavoora, Rafting Point, and Yanner regions. The operation, led by six police teams and supervised by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Pahalgam, aims to deter narcotics-related activities in tourist accommodations.

Officials reported that searches were driven by credible intelligence, as part of the ongoing effort to maintain a vigilant stance against drug networks and ensure a drug-free environment. The police reaffirmed their commitment to persistent operations across the district to counter narcotics proliferation.

Meanwhile, in Rajouri, security forces ramped up search activities in the Gambhir Mughlan forest within the Manjakote sector, concurrently with an ongoing anti-terror effort. Entitled Operation Sheruwali, the initiative is a collaborative effort between the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF, prompted by intelligence on suspected terrorist presence.

The endeavor seeks to trap suspects within a targeted zone as search teams navigate challenging terrain and dense forests. Security agencies are leveraging all tools to monitor and neutralize any threats posed by the potential terrorist activity in the heavily forested region of Rajouri.
