Patiala House Court Extends Custody Over Alleged Terror Conspiracy

The Patiala House Court has extended the custody of four individuals, including a Nepalese national, for further interrogation regarding their alleged involvement in a terror conspiracy across major Indian cities. The decision aims to uncover a broader network potentially linked to Dawood Ibrahim.

In a recent development, the Patiala House Court has extended the police custody of Harvinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Manjeet Singh from Ludhiana, Punjab, and Ang Kami Lama from Kathmandu, Nepal, as further investigation is deemed necessary. This ruling comes following a request by the Delhi Police to continue probing a potential terror conspiracy.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Mridul Gupta sanctioned an additional four days of custody for the accused, who were initially remanded for seven days. The extension seeks to facilitate further interrogation and confrontation with another accused, Huzaifa Ahmed Hashmi, underscoring the preliminary stage of a potentially grave investigation involving national security threats.

The court highlighted the severe nature of the allegations, as the accused reportedly intended to execute terror activities across major cities, including Delhi. Evidence suggests these individuals may be linked to a wider network associated with terror activities and the notorious underworld figure, Dawood Ibrahim.
