The family of Aditya Sharma, an Indian seafarer who perished in an alleged US attack on the Palau-flagged vessel MT Settebello, is calling for government intervention to repatriate his body. Sharma, hailing from Himachal Pradesh, was among the three Indian fatalities in the incident near the Strait of Hormuz.

Rajesh Sharma, Aditya's father, has demanded a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, questioning the ship captain's decision to navigate through a high-risk zone. The family seeks answers from prominent officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on who is responsible for the attack and why the crew was not properly informed.

In light of the incident, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed profound grief over the loss and assured that the government is committed to bringing back the remains of the deceased. The repatriation process has been set in motion, as families demand clarity and accountability for the tragic events.
