Russian Deputy Ambassador has been summoned by South Korean Foreign Ministry over Tuesday's alleged airspace violation, according to reports. On Tuesday, South Korea said Russian aircraft violated its airspace and hence the Korean Republic scrambled fighter jets and fired warning shots.

The South Korean national security advisor sent a strong message complaining about the warplane to the Secretary of the Russian Federation of Security Council and vowed further action if necessary.

Russia's defense ministry reportedly denied the air space violation and said South Korean pilots had not communicated with the Russian bombers.

Russia alleged earlier this month that South Korea kicked out 26 Russian nationals who arrived in the country on an overnight flight July 14, saying South Korea complained that the Russians "failed to prove the purpose of their visit."

This is a developing story.
