A car bomb blast has killed two civilians in Paktika province of Afghanistan on Tuesday, according to local media reports. The incident reportedly took place at Patani area of Mata Khan district of eastern Paktika province at around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.

The bomb reportedly targeted the district police chief Abdul Wadood Andar, who escaped unharmed but two civilians including a child were killed and three guards of Andar were injured in the incident.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet
