Kibra MP Ken Okoth died in Nairobi hospital

The Member of Parliament from Kibra, Ken Okoth has died in a Nairobi hospital on Friday, according to local media reports. Okoth who has been battling colorectal cancer for several months and was rushed to hospital last night after his condition worsened.

He had reportedly suffered multiple organ failure and was on life support at the hospital.

The MP made his first public appearance about 10 days ago after returning from France where he had been receiving treatment. He attended the Kibra Music Fest at Moi Girls School, Nairobi, accompanied by other City leaders.
