Germany to close non-essential shops from Dec 16-Jan 10 - draft govt proposal

Germany is planning to close most shops from Wednesday as it tightens lockdown restrictions to tame coronavirus infections, according to a draft government proposal seen by Reuters on Sunday.

The measure would remain in place through Jan. 10, according to the draft.
