In a tragic turn of events, Nisar Ahmed, a truck driver, lost his life seemingly due to a heat stroke in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, officials reported on Saturday.
Authorities indicated that Ahmed had delivered a load of bitumen in Charama from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh when his health began to decline. According to a police official, he was immediately taken to a community health center in Charama but unfortunately, he succumbed during treatment.
Dr. Avinash Khare, Kanker's Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), stated that heat stroke appears to be the probable cause of death. However, the precise reason will be determined following a post-mortem examination. Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Ahmed’s untimely demise highlights the dangers faced by truck drivers working in extreme conditions.
