Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday due to complaints of back pain, hospital officials said.
AIIMS media cell in-charge Dr. Rima Dada confirmed that the minister is stable and currently under observation, while undergoing necessary tests.
The 73-year-old minister was admitted early in the morning and is being treated in the Old Private Ward, she added.
