Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak declared significant improvements in the state's healthcare system, during a session with the UP Legislative Assembly. He highlighted 108 district-level hospitals and 261 special hospitals providing treatment for serious diseases.
Pathak also addressed concerns regarding corruption, stating that any allegations would be thoroughly investigated, and if found guilty, culprits would face jail time. This came in response to inquiries by Samajwadi Party members about the state’s healthcare facilities and ongoing issues.
Additionally, Pathak outlined future plans to fill 2,532 specialist doctor positions, ensuring better medical support across the state. The measures include free dialysis services in 75 district hospitals and free CT scans in 71 district hospitals, further strengthening the medical infrastructure.
