ESIC Bolsters Healthcare Workforce with Major Recruitment Drive
The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has hired 1,221 doctors over the past two months to enhance medical services. Additionally, the UPSC has conducted exams to fill 1,930 nursing vacancies. The ESIC has also recruited engineers and aims to improve healthcare for insured individuals and their families.
The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has recruited 1,221 doctors in the past two months, significantly boosting its medical staff, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
The recruitment includes 860 General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs), 330 Assistant Professors, and 31 Specialists. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare services provided under the ESI scheme, which is managed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
In addition to the doctors, ESIC has completed the hiring process for 20 Junior Engineers (Electrical) and 57 Junior Engineers (Civil), with appointment letters issued this month based on UPSC recommendations. The UPSC has also conducted exams to fill 1,930 nursing vacancies, and the recruitment process will be finalized soon. These efforts underscore ESIC's commitment to providing comprehensive social security and medical benefits to insured individuals and their families.
