Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday announced the establishment of a 'Center of Excellence in Mental Health' in Tanda with a 100-bed capacity, which is expected to be operational soon.

Presiding over a review meeting for Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) and Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital (RPGMCH) Tanda, Sukhu also revealed that B.Sc Nursing classes would commence here.

During the session, the chief minister stressed the importance of creating adequate infrastructure and reinforcing existing resources in all state medical colleges. He highlighted the necessity for deploying specialist doctors and staff in these institutions.
