Reckitt, in collaboration with Plan India, has introduced targeted educational campaigns designed to promote the importance of proper nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention for new mothers and children under five in rural and tribal communities.
The initiative, named 'Self-Care for New Moms and Kids Under 5', aligns with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's 'Stop Diarrhoea Campaign' and was highlighted with the launch of the theme song 'Maa E Maa', performed by Gujarati folk singer Geeta Rabari at the 8th CSR Health Impact Awards.
The program aims to improve health outcomes for mothers and young children by focusing on self-care, including diet diversity, physical activity, and hygiene practices. The campaign extends to antenatal check-ups, birth spacing, and mental health support. It combines on-ground activities in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra with digital outreach efforts to empower 10 million mothers and children across underprivileged areas.
