Meanwhile, the Faculty Association of PGIMER, Chandigarh, announced support for the Indian Medical Association's strike on Saturday. According to a PGIMER statement, OPD services will be shut down, but emergency and critical care services will continue. The Indian Medical Association has called for a 24-hour nationwide withdrawal of non-emergency services from 6 am Saturday to protest the alleged crime and subsequent vandalism at the facility.
