Protests escalated in Kolkata as top doctors Kunal Sarkar and Subarna Goswami, who had posted about the incident on social media, appeared before the police after leading a march of hundreds from Calcutta Medical College to Kolkata Police headquarters.

Healthcare services were significantly impacted at state-run hospitals in West Bengal as junior doctors continued their strike. Senior doctors had to step in at outpatient departments to manage the heavy patient influx. Protests spread nationwide, with doctors in Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa also demanding justice and increased safety measures.
