NBCC's HSCC Secures Massive AIIMS Hospital Project in Darbhanga

State-owned NBCC's subsidiary HSCC has clinched a substantial Rs 1,261 crore contract to construct an AIIMS hospital in Darbhanga, Bihar.
In a regulatory filing, NBCC announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HSCC (India) Ltd, has been given the task of establishing AIIMS Darbhanga by the Union Health Ministry.
NBCC is primarily engaged in project management consultancy (PMC) and the real estate sector.
In a subsequent statement, NBCC declared HSCC India as the official executing agency appointed by the Ministry of Health for this significant healthcare project. It is set to be one of the largest ongoing healthcare initiatives in the country.
The AIIMS Darbhanga project aims to deliver high-quality medical education and advanced tertiary care services to a broad population at minimal cost.
The facility will include a state-of-the-art healthcare institute featuring a fully equipped tertiary care hospital, a medical college, an AYUSH hospital, and accommodation for students and staff, along with other essential amenities.
The project covers approximately 188 acres and will encompass over 2.25 lakh square meters of construction area.
Expected to be completed within 36 months, AIIMS Darbhanga is poised to substantially improve healthcare accessibility and educational opportunities in the region.
