The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), has embarked on a pioneering research project aimed at boosting entrepreneurship and commercialisation within the Ayush industry, under the aegis of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush.

Launched within the first 100 days, the project seeks to develop management principles for Ayush products and services, marking a significant stride in research and industry growth. Notably, CARI has reached out to 2,272 elderly individuals through its specialised OPD, exceeding its initial target, and offering Ayurvedic consultations and therapies that improve the quality of life for seniors.

Furthermore, under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP), CARI conducted 80 outreach tours, organised eight camps, and treated 1,500 patients, along with conducting 1,980 screenings to identify lifestyle disorders. In its commitment to holistic healthcare, CARI is also setting up a Department of Integrated Medicine at the Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, reinforcing integrative healthcare approaches as outlined in the National Health Policy 2017.
