A seven-year-old boy tragically succumbed to an allergic shock after receiving an antibiotic injection at a private clinic in Bundi district, police reported on Thursday.

The family of the boy protested against the clinic, holding the doctor responsible for administering what they claimed to be the wrong medicine. However, the doctor defended his actions, citing an undisclosed prior allergic reaction as the likely cause.

Dr. KC Gagrani, a retired pediatrician, administered the injection after the boy's mother insisted on immediate relief for her son's fever. Unfortunately, the boy reacted adversely, leading to an unfortunate fatal outcome despite attempts to revive him. Police have registered a case of suspected death following a complaint by the boy's mother.
