In a decisive move towards improving healthcare facilities, Haryana Health and Medical Education Minister Aarti Singh Rao held a meeting with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) on Tuesday. The meeting focused on assessing progress on two key projects: the Civil Hospital and Shrimata Shitala Devi Medical College.
Rao emphasized that these projects would elevate Gurugram's healthcare standards on a national platform, reinforcing the city's global identity. She stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance the region's health services, making them better and more accessible for everyone.
During the meeting, GMDA CEO A Srinivas briefed the minister on the nearly complete construction of the 883-bed medical college, costing Rs 541 crore. Meanwhile, Civil Surgeon Dr. Virendra Yadav reported on the progress of the Civil Hospital project. With these developments, health infrastructure in Gurugram is set for a significant upgrade.
