Modi to Lay AIIMS Darbhanga Foundation Stone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar on November 13 to lay the foundation stone for a new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga, as confirmed by state Health Minister Mangal Pandey.
Modi's visit on Wednesday will coincide with the 'bhumi pujan' ceremony for the super-specialty medical project. The event will see the participation of key dignitaries including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi.
AIIMS Darbhanga marks the second establishment of its kind in Bihar, following Patna. With an investment of Rs 1,700 crore, the project aims to significantly benefit north Bihar and the surrounding regions. Pandey emphasized the institute as a testament to the NDA's commitment to regional development and support for underprivileged communities.
