Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for AIIMS Darbhanga, marking a significant development for the north Bihar town. This new facility will be the state's second All India Institute for Medical Sciences after Patna.
Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey emphasized the event's importance, highlighting that it will be a historic moment for the Mithila region and the entire state. The ambitious project on Ekmi Shobhan Bypass is estimated to cost around Rs 1,700 crore.
The inauguration will be attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union ministers. The AIIMS Darbhanga facility, which includes a teaching block and residential complex, promises to enhance medical services in Bihar and neighboring states. The Bihar government has provided over 187 acres of land for its construction.
