The state of Andhra Pradesh is grappling with a severe outbreak of Avian Influenza, having lost 540,000 chickens across three key districts. The Central Government has promptly dispatched assessment teams to evaluate the pressing situation.
Particularly hard-hit were Badampudi village in Eluru district, Velpuru in West Godavari district, Kanuru Agraharam in East Godavari district, and Gampalagudem in NTR district, each reporting alarming death tolls among poultry.
During a press conference, Minister K Atchannaidu emphasized the strenuous efforts to curb the outbreak, stressing the safety of consuming properly cooked poultry products. He called for public caution against false rumors regarding the disease.
