In a bid to rejuvenate the flagging healthcare system in Delhi, BJP MLA Vijender Gupta has called on Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to implement the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) and the Health Information Management System (HIMS).
Gupta, in a recent letter, highlighted that these initiatives hold the potential to drastically improve the quality of healthcare services. Under PM-ABHIM, initiated in 2021 with an allocation of Rs 2,406 crore, various health infrastructure projects were outlined but remain pending.
Criticizing the outgoing AAP government for alleged misgovernance, Gupta argued for a focus on effective healthcare delivery and committed to making these healthcare schemes a focus once the BJP assumes office. The transformative HIMS program's expansion aims to streamline services for better efficiency and transparency.
