US biopharma giant Amgen announced a USD 200 million investment in its new Telangana facility, marking the beginning of substantial future investments, said CEO Robert Bradway on Monday.
The announcement came during the facility's inauguration by Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who emphasized the state's aim to transform into a USD one trillion economy and become a 'China Plus One' destination.
Telangana, a hub for life sciences and biotech, stands firm in its commitment to fostering scientific innovation and becoming an attractive alternative for businesses looking to diversify from China, Reddy stated.
