Sonia Gandhi, the Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson, was released from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday after a four-day admission for a stomach-related problem, according to hospital officials.
The 78-year-old was admitted on June 15 due to an abdominal infection. Her condition has stabilized, and she will continue outpatient treatment, the hospital confirmed. Dr Ajay Swaroop expressed confidence in her recovery, noting her positive response to medication.
Senior doctors, including Dr S Nundy and Dr Amitabh Yadav, stated that Gandhi's abdominal infection was effectively managed with medications. She had been under the care of the hospital's gastroenterology department since last Sunday.
