A heart-wrenching medical mishap has claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman, following an alleged oversight during childbirth at a private hospital. Officials confirmed that a bandage was reportedly left inside her abdomen during a cesarean section, leading to a fatal infection.

A four-member investigative committee, led by Dehradun Chief Medical Officer Manoj Sharma, has been set up to delve into the circumstances surrounding the death. The probe was initiated after a formal complaint was filed by the deceased's husband, Prajjwal Pal.

The tragic sequence of events began when Jyoti Pal delivered her child in January, after which she suffered persistent abdominal pain. Medical intervention at the same hospital failed to provide relief or diagnosis, prompting a transfer to another facility where the source of her infection was discovered. Sadly, Jyoti succumbed to her injuries.
