Delhi's Mobile Cancer Battle: On-the-Go Screening Revolution

The Delhi government launched a comprehensive cancer awareness, prevention, and screening initiative. On World Cancer Day, the Delhi government unveiled an ambitious cancer awareness and screening initiative to enhance early detection. The launch was marked by deploying mobile cancer screening vans equipped with mammography and HPV DNA testing facilities.

Inaugurated by Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, the program emphasizes the critical importance of timely screening in controlling the surging cancer incidence. The initiative promises to bring screening to both accessible city locations and remote areas.

The program also introduces a self-testing kit for cervical cancer, enabling women to collect samples at their convenience. A broader strategy on prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment is underway, targeting breast, cervical, and oral cancers.
