Since 2025, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has received 2,572 grievances through its dedicated web-based portal, according to Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel. Of these, 1,829 were recorded last year, with 743 grievances filed in 2026, Patel informed the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
The portal allows students and stakeholders to file complaints, and the NMC adheres to timelines aligned with the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS). This structured approach aims to streamline the redressal process.
The Union health ministry regularly coordinates with NMC to review and enhance the grievance redressal mechanism. The focus is on improving efficiency, transparency, and accountability, ensuring grievances are resolved in a timely manner.
